the new lit magazine on the block: The Wanderer’s Post

It is with great delight that I can tell you I feature in the inaugural issue of The Wanderer’s Post; a charming new magazine for all those who love stories. So I shall now proceed to try and flog it to you because a) the art inside is gorgeous, my gosh, and b) my own contribution starts by mentioning the ‘annual quarterly budget meeting’ so obviously you’ve got to read that story. (Also, I happen to be listed as Associate Editor. So. Just so you know.)

Wait. Let me persuade you further (if those two ringing endorsements aren’t tempting enough).

THE MAGAZINE IS PRINT ONLY

In a world full of the digital, this is something you can hold, nay – this is something you can cradle in your arms. Coo over. Rustle the pages and sniff the ink. It’s all human creativity with not a whiff of AI about it.

It’s something you can collect, you can leave it out for your guests on your coffee table, or sneak it in the bathroom so your guests can spend extra time on the loo perusing its excellent contents. Honestly, hit me up for ideas, I’ve got mountains.

SUPPORTING CREATIVES

You can polish your halo and gloat. You can read the magazine while sipping a beverage of your choice and chuckle in a righteous way. You can walk down the road with your chin up, your shoulders squared. You can say ‘oh yes, I’m a patron of the arts’ and no one will be able to argue.

It’s like when I’ve recycled something – this feeling of well-being descends and I know, yes, I’m a great person because not only did I recycle the oat milk carton but I also rinsed it out. (I know, I know, my halo is blinding.)

THE CONTENTS

Obviously, the chief consideration. Ignore the above two reasons. Wait, no, don’t. I really think they’re good reasons. But the contents. They’re important too. The Wanderer’s Post website sensibly says we need more good stories in our world now more than ever, and I agree. Filled with original stories, poems, and art, it’s the perfect accompaniment to a cosy afternoon with a cup of tea. Or to read on the commute. Or on your toilet break! Or lunch break! Or basking in the late summer sun! (Mountains of ideas, I tell you.)

I wait with anticipation for the first issue to drop on my doormat so I too can hold, cradle, and coo over the art (it’s delicious) and the stories (something for everyone) and read my one (1) article and one (1) short story (that makes two contributions from yours truly) (I can do maths).

So, if the above is alluring enough, I’ve popped the link below. Join me in the anticipation. I can’t wait.

PSST: Issue Two has dropped.
